Two individuals have been killed while one was harmed in a lethal car collision that happened on Tuesday night along Bauchi – Dass street in Bauchi State.

The Head of Operations, Federal Road Safety Corps, Bauchi Sector Command, Deputy Corps Commander, Ibrahim Abubakar, affirmed the mishap to newsmen in Bauchi.

Abubakar said that the driver and his two companions were smashed and were over-speeding when he lost control and the vehicle somersaulted.

He said that vehicle veered off the street and fell into a dump prompting the demise of the two individuals.

He stated: “Indeed, the facts confirm that a mishap happened on Bauchi – Dass street on Tuesday night at about 9pm. It was a solitary mishap of a Peugeot 206 vehicle with number plate AJG 248 AA, Blue in shading.

“The vehicle had three tenants and were making a beeline for Bauchi from Dass when the mishap occurred. We presume that they were driving affected by liquor since we recuperated a jug of whisky in the vehicle.

” The driver was over-speeding and he lost control accordingly, he veered off the street and the vehicle somersaulted and he fell into a dump. ”

Abubakar said that two dead bodies were recuperated in the early long periods of Thursday morning and stored at the morgue at the ATBU Teaching Hospital.

He included that the third individual who was oblivious was hurried to a similar medical clinic for treatment.
